2017 Reading List for Christian Women Inspiration

2017 reading list for christian women inspiration

It’s a new year and a new year marks the start of a new book list!

Just like many of you, I am a crazy busy momma so I am fairly certain I will only get through half of this list BUT a girl can dream, right? I am following bloggers who have a goals to read one book a month or even a week — I’d be lucky if I can read a book in three to six months!

Regardless of my busy schedule, I know that reading is one of the few things which can expand my mind and take me to a new world. So, my goal is to AT LEAST finish eight of these sixteen books this year. That averages out to be around… a month and a quarter reading time per book? I don’t know, I am terrible with math.

These are the sixteen books which have caught my eye in the past year that I haven’t read (or haven’t finished). Yes, there are a ton more fantastic Christian books to check out — just search Amazon, you’ll find thousands — but these are the books with a message that resonated with me!

Also, stay tuned — or scroll to the bottom — to take a peak of the giveaway I am hosting!

GIVEAWAY TIME!

*** GIVEAWAY CLOSED AS OF 02/01/2017 ***

Congratulations to Sarah Ellington for winning book #1 and Kimberly Pech for winning book #2!

I am so, so grateful for each and every one of you! Together, each person that has visited The Beauty Within this year has helped contribute to my family in multiple ways. In less than a year, this blog has gone from 5 views per day to thousands of views per day plus monthly commission and I have YOU to thank.

So, to thank you for all that you have done for me, I would like to host a small but meaningful giveaway!

This giveaway features two books. Book #1 is by my favorite author Becky Thompson and it is my favorite inspirational book for mommas! Book #2 is one that I haven’t read as of yet but it is very popular in the Christian women circle and is by a wonderful author/blogger Lysa TerKeurst.

How do you enter the random giveaway?

I made this giveaway very simple to enter because it’s for one reason: to give back to my supporters.

How to enter:

  1. Subscribe to The Beauty Within. If you are already subscribed then skip this step!
  2. Comment below which book you would like to win — book #1 or book #2. You can’t win both, I’m sorry!

The winner will be chosen at random by a computerized generator. Also, you must be 18 years or older to enter!

Winner will be announced on FEBRUARY 1st via Facebook/Instagram.

I will also send you a private email to acquire your address from you! If you don’t respond within 48 hours, I will be forced to choose another winner. All other giveaway regulations can be found HERE.

Once again, thank you for the support and visiting my blog! Don’t forget to comment below which book you would love to win!

  3. I would love uninvited because i have becky thompsons book already 😀

  4. Book 2 I was just saying yesterday I need a rejection bible study,

I’d love Book 1 too but I need rejection inspiration.

  8. I wanted to thank you for being here everyday with the rest of the mommas out in this crazy world. I love this site. As for the giveaway I would choose book #2!!!! I feel like I need it in my life haha !! Have a blessed day.

  9. Book #2 please 🙂

I subscribed twice but both times after I submitted it the page said “page not found”.

  10. Book 1 . Thank you for the reading list. I was blessed to be able to see Lysa and purchase her book, Uninvited, at her launch party.

    • Wow, what a privilege! I bet that was a neat experience! Thank you for subscribing and commenting — it means so much to me. 🙂

  11. I love this entire list of books! I am starting a mops, mama book club. do you think all these books would be appropriate for that. I have been searching high and low for inspiration on my book club and It seems like I hit the jackpot pot finding you blog and this list. thanks!

    • Hey Carly, what a great idea! Is it a local book club or is it something you’re doing online?
I think the majority of these books would certainly be perfect for a women’s book club as they are mostly geared towards women (except the Max Lucado one but it’s still great). I do also know that MOPS released their very own book “The Starry Eyed” which you probably already know about — that could be a good book to open the club with. Anyways, this book club is such a great thing that you’re doing and I pray God works through you like never before to reach the wonderful women who attend!
