Hi to everyone!
I can hardly believe it’s been nearly two months since my last blog post. I so appreciate all of you and your concern about my whereabouts — you all have brought me so much joy as I read so many concerned emails in my inbox and messages on social media.
I have been away from my blog for two months and let me tell you what, that two month break was definitely welcomed and needed. I apologize for not informing you more about this break; to be honest, I felt as if I would explode at any moment if I didn’t take time for myself right away. So, without much of a warning I completely disconnected from the website, social media, and any obligations I had besides loving God and my family.
The break was so, so needed! During that two month span I dove heavily into Pricilla Shirer’s “The Armor of God” study a mentor (my aunt) and oh my goodness it was so good for my soul. I feel this break has rejuvenated my heart to a more joyful beat; God’s beat.
And now? I just finished my first week as a full-time student for Interior Architecture and Design! I am proud to say that I have only had a handful of stress induced breakdowns this week as I try to balance the life of a student, house wife, mama, and work but all in all I am very glad to finally be in school again. Oh my… haha!
I am also booked to photograph TWO weddings this Summer. Needless to say I am pretty excited for everything that God is placing in my life but I will also be the first to admit that I tend to cave under pressure. So, prayers are always appreciated!
Needless to say I am busy.
On top of that…
Did you notice the new design this website is sporting?
Yup. It’s now my name!
Sometimes I laugh a little at the idea of rebranding my blog to my name because I was definitely not a fan of my name growing up. However, by rebranding the website to my name it has eliminated confusion and opened more creative outlets for me to explore within this business! I mean, if you have googled “The Beauty Within” (previous brand name) at all then you probably stumbled across a very scandalous looking model site. No disrespect to them AT ALL but it did get a little confusing when I tried to explain the difference to Christian affiliates.
I’m pretty proud of the brand design because, well, I made it! The logo is my own hand lettering that I digitized in Illustrator.
Also, please don’t be alarmed when you see my lovely “headshot” photo changed to an newly updated one. It’s still me — I promise — but it’s going to go along side the new design!
Here’s a couple things you can expect to see with this brand change
(In no particular order at all)
- Lots of pink
- Crafts, DIYs, interior design, architecture
- Christian inspiration
- Life updates
- Possible partnerships and sponsored posts
- Photography examples
- Pretty things inspiration
- My family
And much more!
My goal is to post to the blog every single Friday. Anything more than that will be a bonus!
Last thing I wanted to inform you on…. I have decided to limit social media use therefore if you want to get in touch with me INSTAGRAM is the best spot. Facebook will only be used as a way to share current posts; honestly, Facebook is just not my “thang” (especially with the new algorithm change). You can also expect lots of fun stuff coming through the email subscription!
*** Check back next Friday (February 16th, 2018) for our rebranding launch giveaway! ***
Once again, thank you everyone for your patience and concern!
